Here at T3ch H3lp, we are a technology blog run by Founder and Lead editor Brandon Davenport and Senior Editor Ricardo Trejo. We started in 2008 and are growing rapidly.

We are looking for someone who can set aside 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there to do 1-3 posts a day (not including weekends). They don't have to be a full 2 page article but they need to be informative and fun for people to read and most importantly, viral -- That means they need to be hot topics in technology which will gain popularity.

We need someone with a fair bit of experience with using a blogging platform, as we run our blog using Squarespace. We need you to have a relevant knowledge of technology and understand the industry.

Most Important

We need you to be enthusiastic about your articles, and be engaged in the comments on the blog, your twitter and any other networks you belong to. We want someone who does not copy and paste articles (you can copy and paste chunks and set them as quotes and give reference to the source).

What we provide

We use premium editing tools and allow full embed code for videos and widgets, and also we provide space for you to upload your images and other posting material. We are also able to answer any questions you may have, and we provide tools to help you learn how its done.

Since we use the Squarespace CMS (content management system) we can send you to resources that the Squarespace community provides on various topics that can help you on your way.

We also want to keep in touch, so we will check up on you once in a while to see how you are doing. We are very understanding of priorities, so if you can't post for a day or two (or a week) thats okay!

We like your ideas

We constantly bug our bloggers for ideas, and suggestions because this is "our" site and we need to all contribute. Send them to us in a big long email, or in a quick little Tweet.

Do I get paid?

No. We are trying to get this going, but we are making just enough to pay for our hosting, and keeping the site running, please remember, we just started. We want to find people that we can be in contact with for a long time, so if your someone (like Ricardo) who wants to be in this for the long haul, you will probably end up getting payed at some point in the future.

You will be premoted

We are looking forward to having more senior editors, and that is why we need you. When you start at T3ch H3lp, you start out as a "Lite" editor.

 

What is a Lite Editor?

A lite editor has full editing capabilities on the T3ch H3lp blog, minus publishing privelages. That means that we have to read your article, and maybe edit it before it gets the OK to be put on the front page. You also get your own space to put images on the blog, but we prefer you use a service like Twit pic or Image Shack.

 

Who gets to be a full editor?

When you have written alot of quality posts or we just see your potential, we promote you to a full editor -- immediate publishing, your own avatar, and a place on the T3ch H3lp about page. We also plug your Twitter (or any other site) whenever we can.

But remember we can take this privilege away just as fast.
