So you have a mid-range slower PC and you just installed Windows 7 - Maybe you are a bit disappointed with the speed, but then again you kinda expected it because your PC isn't the fastest in the world. You may have heard a lot of talk about Windows 7 being so much faster and you thought it'd breathe some new life into your system, but for some reason or another it's just not working out the way you had hoped. Saddened, you may have even actually been tempted to buy a whole new PC just to be done with it. Well cheer up, not all hope is lost! The Games Developers Conference, otherwise known as GDC, went down this past week and with it some monster bombs were dropped. However, nothing made a bigger splash than the final unveiling and debut of Sony's Playstation Move motion controller. It's only one of the many peripherals to enter the current motion gaming generation, so we decided to give you a well rounded look at it; let you be the one to make a decision on what you think instead of hearing us go on about it. You may have heard of her, you may have not, but one thing that you are aware of is social media. And as a self dubbed Social Media Superhero, Miss Destructo makes the rounds finding businesses to aide them enter the new digitally interwoven world.

Whether you use them or not there's no denying the power of social networks, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter - they've all changed the way we communicate, but more importantly they've changed the way companies advertise to their audience. Here's where our interviewee, Miss Destructo, comes into the picture. With thousands of people following her on Twitter she's become a bit of an official unofficial guru to this new trend in advertising. Whether it's her snazzy style and blue hair, or her love for Bruce's Yams, she's got our attention and we'd like to ask her a few questions.

I got a chance to have a short interview with her, to ask her what she thinks people should know about social media and about herself.

Google easter egg - Turn the Google Logo into ASCII Art

Can you feel the aftermath of the nerdgasm which inspired the Google team to create this? It's awesome, we found it, it's in ASCII (plain Text), and even though it is another one of those random Google Eggs, it is here to stay! Remember the fireworks easter egg from New Years? It is one of many which are seasonal -- Google likes to hide surprises on their site sometimes, but most of them go away after a very short while. I have a feeling this one is here to stay.

T3ch H3lp Lite feed has undergone a bit of a face lift, even though it has only been in action since last month. The reason is, here at T3ch H3lp we don't believe in sitting around and being satisfied with "good" because if you live in that mind set, there is no will to get better. In an ever changing world of technology and the open web - standards change, new social trends emerge and ideas come to life - every hour.

We are a technology blog and we believe in not just being a news source, or place to find content - we see our site, our foundation we have built as part of the content. We are a new breed of technology blog, and we hope to impress, inspire and help.

Sony announces the Motion Controller dubbed 'PlayStation Move'

Just a quick update on the Motion Controller being announced by Sony as of now at GDC. It is called "Playstation Move" and we will have more on the device soon. Shuhei Yoshida, Sony's senior vice president of product development, made the official announcement as of a couple minutes ago. More to come...

The Academy Awards were on last night and Avatar was highlighted for its extraordinary innovations within technology. I am an independent filmmaker and I'm often asked how I do my special effects. Generally, I use professional programs like Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects, however I also use third party plug-ins and a very special website that can help any indie filmmaker look like a pro. Tons of web sites have tutorials on how to do this but Video Copilot has many extra plug-ins alongside their extensive After Effects tutorials. 5 Funniest Heavy Rain Glitches n' weird stuff

Just when you thought Heavy Rain was perfect - we discovered that no, in fact it is not. Of course all games have their flaws, but heavy rain is in a special category. It has a plethora of glitches, and that is all part of the fun! Seeing how badly the game can eff up when you are trying to save yourself from being run over by a bulldozer. Its all in great fun...

PS3 Review: Heavy Rain

|

A murder thriller set not within a TNT original mini-series, but rather within Sony's PS3. This crime drama is more of a movie than a game but the suspense is just as exhilarating as watching a top notch cinema - albeit with a ton of plot holes that pretty much undo everything done correctly, but its heart is in the right place.
